Pacific Park Christian Holiday Camp has operated near Pāpāmoa Beach since 1944, founded as Mount Bible Class Camp by two young men responding to what they saw as the moral influence of summer holiday culture on New Zealand youth. Today it runs as a fully equipped, family-friendly holiday park just a two-minute walk from the beach.
The park is smoke, vape, drug and alcohol-free. Many reviewers - including those who specifically note they are not Christian - cite this as a positive, praising the calm and family-focused atmosphere. Accommodation ranges from powered campsites to air-conditioned two-bedroom cabins, fully serviced motel units, and self-contained group lodges.
Facilities include a large 40-degree hot tub, jumping pillow, children’s playground, games room, communal kitchens, BBQ areas and a conference centre for events, retreats and school camps. As a non-profit, Pacific Park supports community ministries and charities, and offers ministry discounts to qualifying organisations.
“As non-Christians we were a bit hesitant to book a place with ‘Christian’ in the name, but there were no problems whatsoever. It was clean, quiet, family-friendly and the staff were great. Would stay again.”
“Well maintained, clean and tidy with well-equipped facilities including a large 40-degree hot tub. Staff were helpful and it was quiet at night. Highly recommended.”
